The Hub

The Hub is Elysia's multi-purpose rental space. Located in Fisherman's Village next to our resort and cafe, the Hub has thus far served as an ideal center for yoga retreats hosted by program leaders from around the globe.

The Hub will be available for rent for a wide variety of other events as well, like dance classes, business seminars, parties, wedding receptions, art exhibitions, MICE events, and more.

Garden Sala

A serene space humbly nestled amongst the greenery of the resort and its passionfruit-covered walkway leading to the organic garden where a curious soul may share the fields of energy of yogis and yoginis in practice.

During Samui Mala’s 6-weekly Green Market’s the Sala serves as a pop-up store for previously-loved fashion items. At 35 square metres the Sala can accommodate up to 12 people for mini Yoga Teacher Trainings, Retreats, Muay Thai classes and more. It also has outdoor table and seating areas.

Shadha Yoga

Shahda Yoga

Head teacher Yogini Shahda, a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT® 200), fell deep in love with yoga when she experienced the incredible healing powers of combining ancient breathing
techniques with beautifully crafted yoga asanas through her dedicated daily three-hour practice.

She passionately creates intelligent yoga sequences from her soul to nurture as well as challenge both the mind and body to heal and
maintain a sustainable and efficient physical, physiological and mental system. She rides the journey of life with a cheeky sense of adventure.

Grounding from the core, dynamically flowing from strength to strength whilst embracing all of nature’s magical gifts with humility and grace.

Her practice will inspire you to fulfill your whole potential and more.

Services at The Hub



Elysia Boutique Resort offers various types of yoga classes with our certified instructors. All students are welcome, from first-time yogis to advanced practitioners.  


Our Classes are Monday – Saturday, please see the schedule of events page for the up to date schedule. Yoga classes are THB 400 or you may purchase a 5 class pass for THB 1,500. 


We have multiple instructors offering different styles of yoga, such as;


Vinyasa Flow

A Vinyasa is a sequence of movements coordinated with the breath and Vinyasa Flow classes bring together these sequences in a creative, dynamic, flowing style which will both challenge the body and calm the mind. Great for all round strength and flexibility as well as helping reduce stress and improve focus, these classes will leave you relaxed, invigorated and energised.


Salsa

Join us for a fun, social dance experience in The Hub and learn how to dance salsa! Not only is it incredibly fun, but is also great exercise. In our beginners course you will learn the basic fundamentals or salsa including rhythm, basic steps and footwork as well as partner work. As salsa is a social dance, we rotate partners, which means you can come alone, with a partner or friends and everybody gets to dance. Intermediate level and private classes are also available. Our classes are a great way to give you the basics and confidence to move and groove on the dance floor at our regular Friday night salsa parties at Greenlight Cafe & Bar!



Hatha Yoga

Also based around breath focused movement, but focused more on the meditative, calming effects of the practice,


Hatha Yoga classes tend to be slower with more time spent in each pose. Incorporating breath work and meditation within the sequences, these classes are designed to help move energy around the body, bringing about a sense of wellbeing and cultivating a deep awareness of mind and body.


Ashtanga Yoga

Based on the postures and sequences described in ancient Indian teachings, Ashtanga Yoga was developed and popularised by T. Krishnamacharia and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in the early 20th century. Linked by breath-led vinyasas, set sequences take the practitioner through a practice designed to increase strength and flexibility in the body as well as balance and focus in the mind.


Providing both a great introduction for those new to Ashtanga or sound development for the more advanced practitioner, these classes are an excellent way to experience an ancient and traditional style of yoga.


Yin Yoga

In Eastern philosophy, Yin represents the darker, softer, more passive side to creation, counterbalancing the energetic light of Yang. Yin Yoga reflects these principles through slower sequences, often seated or reclined, where poses are held for several minutes at a time. Focusing on allowing time for deep relaxation and the stretching and softening of the connective tissues, it forms a perfect complement to the more energetic Vinyasa, Hatha and Ashtanga classes, helping to rebalance and restore the body and mind.


Belly Dance

Belly dance is a traditional dance from the Middle East and Arabian countries and enjoys a long history as an exquisite, beautiful and feminine dancing art. By gently, slowly and at times rigorously moving different parts of the body it becomes a total body work out toning and firming the belly, hips, shoulders, upper arms and legs as well as stimulating the digestive, circulatory, and respiratory system to promote internal and overall health. In our basic belly dance classes you will learn belly exercises that isolate the muscles allowing you greater and more graceful movement as you progress. It promotes balance, strength, good posture, coordination and confidence and moreover, femininity. Check out our schedule for more details.

Pilates

Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates.


Pilates called his method "Contrology".

The original six principles were concentration, control, center, flow, precision, and breathing. Initially created for rehabilitation,

but later adopted by dancers and athletes, it is now utilized by millions. A beginner class generally consists of very gentle exercises done on a mat or a ball in either a sitting or lying position. The primary focus is on awareness of the spine, proper breathing, core strength and flexibility.
